Dr. Morelia Urlaub is a Postdoctoral Researcher in Marine Geodynamics at GEOMAR Helmholtz Centre for Ocean Research Kiel, Germany. The focus of Dr. Urlaub research is on submarine landslides with the aim to improve understanding of these hidden hazards on the seafloor. In particular, she investigates potential causes of landslides including the generation of excess pore pressure and deformation in continental slopes, for which she uses a combination of numerical modelling and geophysical, geological and geotechnical data.

Colin Devey

University of Delvare (Static)

Colin Devey is a Professor of Dynamics of the Ocean Floor at GEOMAR Helmholtz Centre for Ocean Research Kiel, Germany. His field of research lies on the seafloor where he uses remotely operated underwater vehicles (ROV) and other tools to understand hydrothermal activity, changes in the ocean crust, underwater volcanism and seafloor resources. He wishes to understand the role of the deep ocean floor in processes on our planet.
