The SDG Academy represents the education and training division of the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN), with the mandate of promoting transformative education through the creation and curation of high-quality content on sustainable development, sharing of innovative pedagogies and training models, and providing open access to learning resources for a global audience. We bring together the world’s leading experts to create and deliver educational material on critical issues for the future of the people and planet. Our communities of practice are mobilizing an educational movement to achieve the SDGs, and our degree and certificate programs are providing essential skills and credentials to a growing cohort of sustainable development practitioners. We firmly believe that education and knowledge is the first step towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The SDG Academy is hosted by the SDSN Association, a global initiative for the United Nations, and was launched in September 2016.
