SDG Academy partners with SEEK Asia to bring SDG learning to ASEAN job seekers

The SDG Academy has partnered with SEEK Asia to bring sustainable development learning to seekMAX, a new learning content platform designed to empower professionals to upskill and advance their careers.

First launched in Indonesia in 2022, seekMAX is now available in Malaysia, Singapore, and the Philippines, offering over 1,100 free edutainment videos in English, Malay, and Bahasa Indonesia. SeekMAX can be found as a feature of the JobStreet mobile app (downloadable from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store).

The SDG Academy debuted in seekMAX with 75 videos in July 2023 alongside the platform’s Malaysia launch. Topics span technology and the SDGs, macroeconomics, behavior change, climate change, and wellbeing. The videos are housed primarily under the “Industry Trends” category, which speaks to the growing recognition of the importance of sustainability among employers and job seekers alike.

We look forward to seeing the seekMAX platform expand into new regional markets, continuing to promote sustainable development to professionals in all industries across ASEAN.

The SDG Academy’s Shannon Kobran, Regional Team Lead for Asia, joined the Malaysia launch of seekMAX on July 25, 2023, at the SEEK Asia offices in Kuala Lumpur, alongside other content partners such as Microsoft, Open Academy, and local career influencers like “Aunty HR.”

SEEK is a diverse group of companies, comprising a strong portfolio of online employment, educational, commercial and volunteer businesses. In Asia, SEEK operates the JobStreet and JobsDB brands, the region’s leading employment platforms and preferred destinations for candidates and hirers. Since the Indonesia launch of the seekMAX platform, over 2.5 million users have watched over 6.5 million minutes of videos, with the most popular content categories being job search advice, career advice, salary advice and self development.
