Gender quality and inclusion (GEI) is crucial for social justice, human rights and economic development, but many researchers lack the knowledge and skills to introduce GEI into their work, leading to gender-blind research and the exclusion of vulnerable groups.
This course aims to address this gap by providing training in a gender and inclusivity perspective, emphasizing intersectional approaches and focusing on various forms of inequality and discrimination. It was created by The Partnership for Economic Policy (PEP), with support from Alistair Scott and the Alkimia Consulting team, and is now brought to you by the SDG Academy.
PEP is a Southern-led, global organization dedicated to supporting development in the Global South by providing high-quality, locally-generated evidence that informs better decisions in policy and practice. PEP believes that evidence produced from an in-country perspective, by empowered and engaged local researchers, results in better policy choices, more sustainable development outcomes and more inclusive policy debates.
This course is also a project funded by The International Development Research Centre (IDRC-CRDI), a part of Canada’s foreign affairs and development efforts that champions and funds research and innovation within and alongside developing regions to drive global change.
