Sophie Kemkhadze 

Sophie Kemkhadze is Deputy Resident Representative (outgoing UNDP Indonesia, incoming UNDP Syria) at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). She was also the Deputy Country Director in UNDP Nepal from 2014 to 2018. Prior to that, she was posted in Armenia in 2013 as the acting Deputy Resident Representative. Ms. Kemkhadze first joined UNDP in 2007, leading the Economic Development Portfolio in Georgia, and in 2008 she became UNDP Assistant Resident Representative in Georgia. She holds a Master’s degree in Economics and Policy from Warwick University (2003), and Ph.D. in Mathematics from Georgian Academy of Sciences (1998). She received her undergraduate degree in Mechanics and Mathematics from Tbilisi State University. She also holds a diploma in Psychology.
