Dr. Muhammad Amjad Saqib is the founder of Akhuwat, the world’s largest interest-free microfinance program that has supported over 5 million beneficiaries across Pakistan through loans worth USD 895 million. His areas of expertise include governance, poverty alleviation, microfinance and rural development. He has provided consultancy to various development organizations and authored multiple books. In recognition of his services, he has received numerous awards including “Ramon Magsaysay Award” (2021).
