Dr. Dalal Aassouli is an Assistant Professor of Islamic Finance and Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) in Qatar. She was previously a visiting academic at Durham Centre for Islamic Economics and Finance. Prior to that, she worked at the International Islamic Liquidity Management Corporation (IILM) in Malaysia and other international corporates in Europe. Dr. Aassouli’s areas of research interest includes Islamic finance, sustainable finance, food security and entrepreneurship. She is also an invited speaker in international conferences and events and provides her consultancy expertise to various organizations on issues related to sustainable and Islamic finance.
