Carolina Robino

Carolina is a Senior Program Specialist at Canada’s International Development Research Centre (IDRC), where she manages research on women’s economic empowerment and gender equality for a just transition. She leads programming on the care economy, care systems, and the care-climate nexus in Latin America and the Caribbean. With over 20 years of experience in international development, before joining IDRC she has worked at UNDP, the Central Bank of Uruguay, and lectured at universities. Carolina holds a PhD in development studies, a master’s in Latin American studies, and an economist degree. She speaks Spanish, French, English, and Portuguese, and has published extensively on care and gender issues.
