Martha is a Senior Program Specialist at Canada’s International Development Research Centre (IDRC), where she leads initiatives on inclusive and sustainable economies. With over 25 years of experience in international development and public policy, she has spearheaded research and multi-donor programs on women’s economic empowerment, youth employment, and the care economy, including the flagship initiatives Growth and Economic Opportunities for Women (GrOW) and Scaling Care Innovations in Africa. Martha holds a PhD in Public Policy from Carleton University and is committed to advancing evidence-based solutions that promote gender equality and inclusive economic growth.
